The Genealogy Reference Room is made possible through the joint efforts of the Charlotte County Parks & Cultural Resources Dept., Library Division and the Charlotte County Genealogical Society, Inc. The Genealogy Collection is located in the MidCounty Regional Library located at the corner of Rt. 41 and Forrest Nelson Blvd. in Port Charlotte and consists of Books, Family Histories, CDs, Microfilm, and Microfiche, newsletters and magazines donated to or purchased by the Charlotte County Genealogical Society, Inc. as well as books and materials purchased by the library. Members of the Society also volunteer in the Genealogical Room to assist anyone interested in Genealogy and Family History and ordering & using LDS Microfilms.
